Last October 13, 2022, the DOST CALABARZON through DOST-Quezon and the Maragondon Dragon Grass SLP Association (MDGSLPA) with the assistance of LGU-Real inked the Memorandum of Agreement for the Approved DOST CEST Project titled “Improvement of Tambo Production Through Acquisition of S&T Related Equipment of Maragondon Dragon Grass SLP Association”.
The project specifically aims to increase the tambo production of the association by at least 60%, to minimize the dependence of drying the tiger grass under direct sunlight and to lessen the cost for maintenance of their tiger grass plantation through acquisition of Tiger Grass Dryer, Tiger Grass Pollen Remover and Two (2) units of Grass Cutter.
Ms. Rowena Evangelista, President of MDGSLPA, and Ms. Jocelyn Capablanca, Treasurer of MDGSLPA, thanked the DOST CALABARZON and DOST-Quezon for the project as this will be a great help in order to deliver the unserved demand of tambo for their clients.
